Case Study: Cooking Up National Publicity for Non-Profit
The campaign: NJ non-profit Family Reach Foundation helps families of kids with cancer pay for daily living expenses, which can overwhelm families alongside other medical and non-medical fees. Family Reach’s annual Cooking Live NYC fundraiser features top celebrity chefs, led by Family Reach Ambassador Ming Tsai, preparing an unforgettable 6-course meal live in the center of the ballroom as guests watch. Recently, Chef Ming was joined by celebrity sous-chef Matt Damon. With only eight weeks to the event, Resound set out to generate widespread publicity for the event on a national scale.
The results: The event was covered by major national news outlets including the Associated Press (syndicated to newspapers across the country), Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and E! Television Network, picked up by all the major photo agencies, featured online and in print in the top celebrity tabloids including People and US Weekly, and covered by bloggers from New York Magazine, The New York Times, Crain’s NY, and more.
